Plant and Equipment
Central owns a full and comprehensive range of plant and equipment to ensure all work is carried out to the highest standard. Our plant includes:
- Decontamination units manufactured and maintained to current requirements
- Self contained water and electrical supplies
- Air management systems
- Vacuum cleaning equipment
- Injection systems
- Wet shot blast systems
- On site welfare facilities
- Transport
All plant and equipment is maintained and tested, as required by today’s comprehensive legislation and is undertaken by our own Plant Division or by relevant manufacturers.
Health, Safety and Training
Central is committed to the promotion of Health and Safety, both at Company level and within the Construction Industry.
Central employs the expertise of RMS (Risk Management Solutions) to ensure we are fully updated with current legislation, codes of practices and to monitor our safety performance by conducting audits for Health & Safety at regular intervals.
The Management team and operatives are trained in asbestos related issues and Health and Safety matters. Training is undertaken at a frequency of not less than once a year undertaken by an accredited body and or our trade association ARCA.
Training includes but is not limited to:
- Asbestos Training as required by CAR 2006
- General Heath & Safety Training
- First Aid
- Mobile Elevated Work Platforms
- Safe Erection of Mobile Towers
- The use of cartridge tools, abrasive wheels and the like
- Confined Space Training
- Central Employees are all CITB CSCS skilled and CRB checked.
Membership and Accreditation
Asbestos Removal Contractors Association
Central are members of ARCA - the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association - and are firmly supportive of the associations commitment to improving the standards of the industry.
ARCA Site Audit Accreditation Scheme
Central were amongst the first 21 contractors throughout the British Isle's to be awarded ARCA's own Site Audit Accreditation Scheme, which is now a compulsory part of ARCA membership.
The scheme is the only asbestos removal industry accreditation scheme, based upon independent audits of working sites, to gain entry into the scheme Central were audited on three sites over a three month period. To maintain the accreditation the company is audited biannually.

TUV / UKAS Accredited
Central are Quality assured under the ISO 9001:2008 Accreditation with TUV Nord.
Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS)
Central are approved by CHAS and Link Up (Network Rail)
RoSPA
Central are members of RoSPA.
Birmingham Health, Safety and Environment Association
Central are members of the BHSE.
